A new President and CEO for Investissement Québec

The Québec Cabinet has appointed Mr. Guy LeBlanc as President and CEO of Investissement Québec and a member of the agency’s board of directors.

A graduate of HEC Montréal, Mr. LeBlanc is a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec and holds the title of Fellow. A highly respected executive, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for over 35 years. Among other posts, he served as Managing Partner of the Montréal Office from 2006 to 2015, where he was responsible for adapting the firm’s strategy for the Québec market, and Managing Partner of the Transaction group in Canada from 2002 to 2006. As an expert in finance, Mr. LeBlanc has extensive transaction experience in the areas of purchasing, sales and business financing.

 

A graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Mr. Leblanc sits on the boards of Canam Group, Goodfood Market Inc., The Lion Electric Co., Groupe Meloche and Atis Group. From 2010 to 2016, he also served on the board of Montréal International.

 

Mr. Pierre Gabriel Côté, who has held the post since December 2014, will hand over the agency’s reins to Mr. LeBlanc on April 23 and work with him to ensure a smooth transition. Mr. Côté will maintain an active role in the agency as a special advisor on strategic economic mandates from the government.
