Attracting New Players to the Medical Technology Sector

On November 22, an all-star panel composed of Mitch Garber, chairman of Invest in Canada, Éric Dequenne, vice-president of International Affairs at Investissement Québec, and Hubert Bolduc, CEO of Montréal International, discussed their complementary approach to attracting foreign investment.

The discussion was held during the launch of a new promotional tool that will serve to attract businesses from the medical technology sector. The tool was developed in collaboration with the Ministère de l'Économie et de l’Innovation and several regional promotion agencies, with the help of MEDEC and the MEDTRONIC company.

Convincing foreign businesses to set up in Québec is a lengthy process, and cannot be achieved without complete and current data, particularly in a cutting-edge sector such as medical technology.

The new tool – a collection of fundamental data on the medical technology ecosystem and the comparative advantages Québec offers in the sector – meets that need exactly.
